Yingfa Ruineng Joins UN Global Compact to Accelerate Sustainable Photovoltaic Innovation

    By July 9, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

YIBIN, China – In a major step toward advancing global sustainability, Sichuan Yingfa Ruineng Technology Co. Ltd. officially announced its accession to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)—the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. This move reaffirms the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its role in transforming the photovoltaic (PV) industry with high-efficiency, low-carbon technologies.

Aligning Business Strategy with the UNGC

Founded in 2000 by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the UN Global Compact calls on companies to uphold ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. By joining the UNGC, Yingfa Ruineng joins over 20,000 global organizations striving to meet the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Joining the UNGC is a significant milestone in Yingfa Ruineng’s globalization journey,” said Zhang Min, Chairman of Yingfa Ruineng. “Our future success depends not only on business excellence but on the positive impact we create for people and the planet.”

Building a Low-Carbon Solar Supply Chain

As a key player in China’s solar value chain, Yingfa Ruineng specializes in research, development, and mass production of advanced solar cells. The company employs technologies such as:

    • Czochralski monocrystalline silicon ingot production
    • PERC, TOPCon, and Back-Contact (BC) cell architectures
    • Innovations aimed at reducing levelized cost of electricity (LCOE)

These developments support a broad application base, from utility-scale farms to distributed solar systems for commercial and residential use.

Aligned with China’s dual-carbon goals (carbon peaking and neutrality), Yingfa Ruineng is also working to cut emissions and energy consumption across manufacturing through smart production systems and renewable energy integration.

Strategic ESG Integration and Global Outlook

By embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values across its operations, Yingfa Ruineng is evolving from a technology manufacturer to a global clean energy leader. With the UNGC partnership, the company aims to:

    • Enhance sustainable supply chain practices
    • Promote equitable energy access
    • Collaborate globally to scale green innovation

Yingfa Ruineng sees this step as the beginning of a broader international engagement strategy, aiming to share the benefits of clean energy with stakeholders around the world.
