Haileybury Astana, a premier British international school in Kazakhstan, has launched its state-of-the-art Sci-Tech Hub, a pioneering education center designed to merge science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) into an interdisciplinary learning environment.
The new 3,000-square-meter facility, located on the school’s Astana campus, includes advanced laboratories, robotics and mathematics labs, 3D visualization classrooms, and interactive learning spaces that meet global standards. The project was completed in just ten months with an investment of KZT 3.4 billion from Verny Capital.
At the inauguration, attended by senior officials including Education Minister Zhuldyz Suleimenova and British Ambassador Sally Axworthy, leaders emphasized the hub’s mission to empower young innovators.
“The Sci-Tech Hub will not only enrich our school community but also serve as a national platform for talented students,” said Ian Hunt, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Haileybury Astana.
Backed by the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, the hub will host national and international competitions and form partnerships with top global research institutions—strengthening Kazakhstan’s education ecosystem and nurturing the country’s next generation of scientists and leaders.
