NASA has officially opened media registration for the SpaceX Crew-11 mission—its 11th rotational flight under the Commercial Crew Program—slated for launch in late July or early August 2025. The mission will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

    Demo

The four-member international crew will journey to the International Space Station (ISS) for a long-duration science expedition aimed at advancing human spaceflight research and microgravity science.

    A Global Collaboration in Orbit

The Crew-11 astronauts bring together experience and diversity from across spacefaring nations:

    • Zena Cardman (NASA) – Commander (First flight)
    • Mike Fincke (NASA) – Pilot (Fourth flight)
    • Kimiya Yui (JAXA, Japan) – Mission Specialist (Second flight)
    • Oleg Platonov (Roscosmos, Russia) – Mission Specialist (First flight)

The four astronauts have been training at SpaceX facilities in Hawthorne, California, to prepare for this next step in international low-Earth orbit research.

    Media Accreditation Deadlines

NASA has provided deadlines for journalists and media organizations to apply for launch site access:

    • International media (non-U.S. citizens): Apply by July 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT
    • U.S. media and U.S. citizens working for international outlets: Apply by July 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT

All requests must be submitted via NASA’s media portal:  https://media.ksc.nasa.gov

For accreditation assistance or technical arrangements (e.g., satellite trucks, tents), media must submit their requests by July 14.

Spanish-speaking media can contact Antonia Jaramillo (321-501-8425) or Messod Bendayan (256-930-1371) for Spanish-language coverage support.

    Strengthening Global Scientific Cooperation

Crew-11 exemplifies the growing role of international cooperation in space exploration. With astronauts representing NASA, Roscosmos, and JAXA, the mission contributes to long-term research aboard the ISS while demonstrating the seamless integration of commercial spaceflight capabilities and multinational crew operations.

The launch continues the momentum of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, which seeks to enable safe, reliable, and cost-effective access to the ISS through partnerships with private aerospace firms like SpaceX.
