Ed Burke, Chairman of the Board at Dennis K. Burke, Inc., has been honored with the 2025 AltWheels Green Fleet Award for his leadership and pioneering work in biodiesel and clean fuel innovation.
For over two decades, Ed has been instrumental in promoting renewable fuels in Massachusetts, collaborating with Harvard University, shaping the first regional biodiesel programs, and helping establish national ASTM biodiesel standards. His family’s service station in Chelsea became a hub for new fuels, hosting the first retail sales of biodiesel and E‑85 ethanol and even serving as the site where the EPA announced its NLRM regulations.
Beyond regional initiatives, Ed advocated nationally, testifying before the U.S. Senate to advance E‑85 regulations and infrastructure. His leadership at Dennis K. Burke, Inc. reflects a commitment to both tradition and innovation, fostering cleaner, sustainable energy adoption across fleets and communities.
