Sunnyvale, Calif. – Scout AI Inc. (“Scout”) announced it has secured a significant contract under the U.S. Army’s Unmanned Systems (UxS) initiative, a program designed to accelerate the adoption of next-generation AI-driven ground autonomy solutions. The agreement covers a 16-month performance period, with the Army holding the option to procure additional units, potentially raising the total contract value to $150 million.
At the heart of Scout’s contribution is Fury, its multi-domain foundation model for defense robotics. Unlike traditional autonomy systems, Fury is a fully learned, camera-only stack combining Vision-Language-Action (VLA) reasoning with commercial off-the-shelf hardware. The result is real-time, human-like decision-making in the field at lower cost and with reduced hardware signature.
