In a landmark move set to redefine India’s renewable energy landscape, StarCharge, a global leader in integrated energy solutions, has signed a strategic agreement with Prozeal Green Energy, one of India’s largest EPC and IPP companies, for the supply of up to 1 GWh of advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS). The deal represents one of the largest BESS projects in India, underscoring both companies’ commitment to accelerating the country’s clean energy transition.
A Step Towards India’s 2030 Energy Ambition
India has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. While solar and wind projects are scaling rapidly, reliable energy storage remains the critical missing link for balancing demand and ensuring grid stability. This partnership directly addresses that challenge, creating the backbone for integrating renewables at scale.
Containerized 5 MWh Units
Under the agreement, StarCharge will deploy its innovative 5 MWh containerized storage units across India. With 1 GWh capacity scheduled to come online in 2026, the project is designed to stabilize the grid, improve efficiency, and accelerate large-scale renewable adoption. StarCharge’s modular approach allows flexibility in deployment across India’s diverse energy landscape.

The deployment is expected to not only strengthen India’s power infrastructure but also unlock new investment opportunities in energy storage and renewable integration. By enabling round-the-clock clean power, the project positions India as an attractive destination for global investors in green energy technologies.
Global Expansion and Collaboration
