Kepler Robotics made headlines at WAIC 2025 by showcasing its Forerunner K2 “Bumblebee”, the world’s first humanoid robot to complete an 8-hour continuous livestream, proving its real-world viability in demanding industrial automation scenarios. With this, Kepler marks a defining moment for embodied AI and next-generation robotic workforce solutions.

World’s First 8-Hour Livestream by a Bipedal Humanoid Robot

Held in Shanghai from July 26–29, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025) served as a global hub for breakthroughs in AI and robotics. Kepler’s 175 cm-tall K2 “Bumblebee” humanoid performed dynamic tasks live for eight hours straight, establishing its “1-hour charge, 8-hour operation” benchmark — a milestone in robotic endurance and energy efficiency.

    Built for Real-World Applications

K2 “Bumblebee” stood out with tasks like logistics sorting, blind box retrieval, and interactive demonstrations such as Pictionary — all underpinned by Kepler’s revolutionary actuator system combining planetary roller screw and rotary actuators. These custom-built actuators provide top-tier torque, load-handling, and motion precision — ideal for robotic automation in logistics and manufacturing sectors.

Notably, the humanoid robot can handle 30kg payloads and deliver 0.01-degree accuracy, making it capable of replacing human labor in tasks requiring precision, stability, and repeatability.

    Aligning with Industrial Shift Cycles

Kepler strategically designed its K2 robot’s performance to align with typical 9-to-5 industrial shifts. Its cost-effective hardware, low idle power consumption, and integration with AI-based decision-making systems make it a viable contender for large-scale robotic deployment in warehouse automation, stamping, and material handling.

With support for millimeter-level precision, the robot also handles deformable or irregular items — a major bottleneck in conventional automation systems.

    From R&D to Commercialization

Kepler’s shift from R&D to commercialization includes launching pre-sales for the K2 in three configurations (starting at ¥248,000), backed by an incentive program for early adopters. Its hardware-first approach and co-development with industrial manufacturers ensure robust scalability and deployment-ready performance.

This move positions Kepler as a leader in embodied intelligence, with implications for sectors ranging from logistics to education and hazardous operations.

    Hardware Innovation Redefines Humanoid Robotics

Kepler’s continued innovation in humanoid robotics is driven by strategic hardware partnerships, proprietary micro-models for multi-modal perception, and AI-enabled cognitive systems. Its robots are now capable of reflexive decision-making, real-time sensor feedback, and fluid motion — enabling them to become fully functional collaborators in industrial and commercial settings.

By focusing on usability, manufacturability, and deployment, Kepler is not only setting new benchmarks but also charting a path for China’s humanoid robots to go global.
