Baseus, a leading global smart technology brand, has introduced the PrimeTrip VD1 Pro Dash Cam, the first in the industry to deliver hardwire-free parking monitoring. Powered by the company’s Solar Sync System 2.0, the device offers up to 14 days of self-sustained surveillance without draining the car battery or requiring external wiring, setting a new benchmark in vehicle security solutions.

Context: Redefining Dash Cam Technology
Traditional dash cams require complex installation with external wiring and pose risks of battery drain. Baseus addresses these limitations by combining solar power generation with an onboard lithium battery, ensuring both ease of use and long-term reliability. The innovation debuted at IFA 2025 in Germany, where attendees experienced the device firsthand.
Operational Features: Solar-Powered Security
The PrimeTrip VD1 Pro leverages a discreet solar panel and intelligent power management to operate independently. Its parking surveillance system activates automatically when motion or impact is detected, recording simultaneous 30-second clips from both front and rear cameras, storing up to 20 incidents (40 clips in total) to safeguard critical evidence.

Advanced Imaging and Coverage
For on-road clarity, the dash cam delivers 4K ultra-clear front recording with a 170° field of view, adjustable by ±15°. A Full-HD rear channel offers an additional 120° coverage, ensuring wide dual-channel protection. Equipped with Sony’s IMX335 STARVIS sensor, f/1.6 six-element glass lens, and HDR processing, the VD1 Pro excels in challenging light conditions, from tunnels to night driving.
Smart Connectivity and User Experience
Seamlessly integrated with the Baseus mobile app, users can adjust resolution settings, review clips, and download recordings via Wi-Fi 6 (5 GHz). The system also supports OTA firmware updates, ensuring continuous feature improvements and security enhancements.
Strategic Significance for Baseus
By eliminating the need for hardwiring, the PrimeTrip VD1 Pro establishes a new standard for user-friendly, self-sustaining vehicle surveillance. “This launch demonstrates our mission to blend practicality, design, and innovation,” said a spokesperson for Baseus. The product strengthens Baseus’s growing portfolio in smart mobility and consumer electronics.
