At the IAA MOBILITY 2025 trade fair in Munich on September 9, SERES Power officially introduced its latest generation SERES Super Range Extender System, alongside advanced motor technology and the next iteration of its distributed electric drive system (e-Drive). The launch drew more than 60 representatives from leading companies, including AVL, Bosch, Mahle, Schaeffler, Valeo, Stellantis, Mubea, and Infineon, as well as international media.

The new system is powered by the “Saiyi (C2E) Range-Extender Architecture” and the “RoboREX Intelligent Control Technology.”

RoboREX transforms the range extender’s operation from passive to active, enabling intelligent and dynamic energy management.

Distributed Electric Drive for Next-Level Safety

SERES also presented its distributed electric drive technology, emphasizing safety and driving comfort. Multi-motor architectures (two, three, or four motors) can be adapted for vehicles ranging from Class A to Class D. Staying true to its philosophy that “safety is the ultimate luxury,” SERES positions distributed drive systems as the next frontier in electric mobility.

Market Success and Consumer Appeal

Range-extending technology is increasingly popular with luxury car buyers, offering flexibility without dependence on charging stations. SERES has established itself as a pioneer, holding over 3,900 patents and earning more than 100 awards.

In China, the SERES Super Range-Extender System has fueled the strong performance of the AITO brand, with more than 750,000 AITO REEV units sold. The AITO 9 model leads the luxury car market in the 500,000 yuan segment, underscoring the system’s commercial success.
