Safra Catz, who has been at the helm of Oracle Corporation since 2014, has been appointed Executive Vice Chair of Oracle’s Board of Directors. In her new role, Catz will continue her 26-year partnership with Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison, helping steer Oracle’s strategic initiatives and maintain its position as a global cloud powerhouse.

Proven Leadership in the Cloud Era

Under Catz’s leadership as CEO, Oracle achieved hyperscale cloud capabilities, expanded its AI infrastructure, and solidified its reputation as a top choice for enterprise cloud solutions. Her tenure was marked by strong financial performance and technological innovation, particularly in AI and autonomous cloud infrastructure.

Passing the Torch

Safra Catz expressed confidence in Oracle’s leadership succession, congratulating the newly appointed CEOs Clay Magouyrk and Mike Sicilia. “Oracle’s technology and business have never been stronger. And our breathtaking growth rate points to an even more prosperous future. At this time of strength is the right moment to pass the CEO role to the next generation of capable executives,” she said.

Continued Influence and Strategic Guidance

As Executive Vice Chair, Catz will remain an integral part of Oracle’s strategic planning and corporate governance. Working closely with Ellison, she will guide the company’s expansion in AI, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise applications, ensuring Oracle maintains its leadership in the global technology landscape.
