Women in HVACR (WHVACR), a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women across the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry, has announced its newly elected executive board and board of directors for 2026. The leadership transition includes the appointment of Jane Sidebottom as President, Christyn Mueller as Vice President, and Meghan Millard as Executive Director, strengthening the organization’s strategic direction and long-term impact.
Leadership Transition and Governance
The newly appointed executive board will oversee WHVACR’s governance, financial stewardship, and strategic priorities. Jane Sidebottom, President and founder of Applied Marketing Knowledge, LLC, brings nearly two decades of experience supporting growth across HVACR and home services businesses. Her leadership focuses on expanding access, visibility, and opportunity for women in the trades.
Christyn Mueller, Vice President and Director of Global Learning and Development at Johnson Controls, contributes extensive expertise in leadership development, workforce training, and organizational growth, supporting WHVACR’s educational and professional development initiatives.
Executive Director Appointment
WHVACR has also appointed Meghan Millard as Executive Director. In this role, Millard will lead organizational operations, member engagement, and program development, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, education, and career advancement for women in skilled trades.
Board Composition and Industry Representation
The 2026 executive board includes Kristin Gallup (Carrier Enterprise) as Immediate Past President, Angela Miller (Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing) as Treasurer, and Crystal Williams (Lemon Seed Marketing) as Executive Board Secretary.
The board of directors comprises Becky Hoelscher (Arkema), Lisa Knapp (Sea of Possibility Leadership Consulting), Janal Reid (Serveway Heating and Air Conditioning and Next Generation Tradesmen Foundation), and Jazmin Ramirez (CI Web Group), representing a broad range of industry, leadership, and entrepreneurial perspectives.
Strategic and Workforce Significance
Women currently represent approximately 3% of the HVACR workforce, facing challenges such as limited mentorship, professional networks, and leadership opportunities. WHVACR addresses these gaps through education, leadership development, scholarships, and industry networking, helping to strengthen workforce diversity and long-term industry sustainability.
