Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has made a historic move, becoming the first company in the global engineering machinery sector to launch a corporate-named satellite. The “Zoomlion” satellite successfully entered orbit as part of the Geely Constellation Group 04 satellites, which were launched from the coastal waters near Rizhao, China, using a Jielong-3 carrier rocket. This achievement signifies Zoomlion’s expansion from ground-based projects into space, reflecting its commitment to digitalization, intelligence, sustainability, and global reach.
Enhancing Global Service and Connectivity
The satellite is a key component of Zoomlion’s vision to ensure service access even in the most remote and challenging environments, including polar regions, deserts, and offshore platforms. The launch strengthens the integration of big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and satellite communications. This integration will create a next-generation service ecosystem that provides smarter, faster, and more environmentally friendly solutions to customers worldwide.
