Maxeon Solar Technologies and Hardt Electric have successfully installed a state-of-the-art solar energy system at the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) headquarters in Glenview, Illinois. The 48,500 square-foot, LEED-certified facility will now generate approximately 341,000 kWh annually, offsetting nearly 30% of its electricity consumption.
Promoting Sustainability and Lung Health
The solar installation reduces an estimated 242 metric tons of CO₂ emissions per year—equivalent to removing 54 cars from the road. This supports CHEST’s mission to improve lung health and reduce environmental pollutants that contribute to respiratory conditions in the Chicagoland community.
Cutting-Edge Solar Technology
Hardt Electric designed and installed a roof-mounted photovoltaic system comprising over 560 high-efficiency Maxeon solar panels. Maxeon’s technology ensures superior energy capture even in low-light conditions, with the industry’s lowest degradation rate and a 40-year warranty.
