Industrial automation company Vention unveiled its latest software-defined automation technologies at Automate 2026 under the theme “The Floor Runs on Us.” The showcase highlighted how manufacturers can accelerate automation deployment through a unified platform that combines robotics, artificial intelligence, motion control, cloud software, and modular hardware infrastructure.

The company demonstrated multiple live applications powered by its MachineMotion AI controller, while also announcing expanded collaborations with Universal Robots and FANUC to support next-generation manufacturing environments.

Vention Advances Software-Defined Manufacturing

At the center of Vention’s Automate 2026 exhibit was MachineMotion AI, the company’s AI-enabled automation controller built to support intelligent manufacturing operations. Powered by NVIDIA Jetson technology and NVIDIA Isaac AI frameworks, the platform integrates motion control, robotics, machine vision, and cloud connectivity into a single ecosystem.

The demonstration emphasized how software-defined automation enables manufacturers to deploy, scale, and manage automation systems more efficiently while reducing engineering complexity and implementation time.

According to Vention, its full-stack automation approach allows organizations to manage design, simulation, deployment, and operational workflows through one connected platform.

Expanded Collaboration with Universal Robots

Vention also strengthened its partnership with Universal Robots by introducing a co-branded digital environment designed to simplify the creation of robotic automation cells.

Built on Vention’s MachineBuilder technology and developed through collaboration with Teradyne Robotics, the platform allows users to design, configure, simulate, and quote Universal Robots-based automation systems using pre-configured templates and digital twin capabilities.

At the Universal Robots booth, visitors experienced Vention’s Rapid Operator AI deep bin-picking solution operating with a UR12e collaborative robot, demonstrating advanced robotic perception and autonomous object handling capabilities.

FANUC Integration Enhances Industrial Robotics

The company further expanded its industrial robotics capabilities through collaboration with FANUC.

A FANUC LR Mate robot showcased high-speed machine tending applications programmed entirely within Vention’s cloud-native MachineLogic environment. The demonstration featured collision-free path planning enabled by NVIDIA FoundationStereo AI technology, allowing robots to autonomously calculate movement paths and optimize operations.

Additionally, a FANUC CRX-10iA collaborative robot integrated with MachineMotion AI was presented as part of a CNC machine tending solution, illustrating simplified deployment and streamlined industrial automation workflows.

Physical AI Demonstrations Highlight Future Manufacturing Trends

A major focus of Vention’s presence at Automate 2026 was the growing role of Physical AI in manufacturing environments.

The company demonstrated AI-powered robotic perception, adaptive motion control, autonomous decision-making, and intelligent bin-picking technologies. One of the key attractions was the “Send Us Your Parts” initiative, allowing manufacturers to test their own production components using Vention’s Rapid Operator AI system.

The solution combines NVIDIA Isaac robotics technologies, CUDA-accelerated computing libraries, and Vention’s proprietary GRIIP software to enable autonomous handling of parts in unstructured manufacturing environments.

Six Live Automation Applications on Display

Visitors to the Vention booth experienced several integrated automation solutions, including:

  • A FANUC CRX-30-powered Rapid Series Palletizer
  • High-speed industrial machine tending using FANUC robotics
  • AI-powered deep bin-picking with Universal Robots
  • A UR20 collaborative robot operating on an overhead seventh-axis range extender
  • Cabinet-free motion control architecture with daisy-chained motors and actuators
  • Modular workstations and factory infrastructure designed for rapid deployment and customization

These demonstrations highlighted how manufacturers can integrate robotics, AI, and software-defined controls into scalable automation systems.
