Duck Creek Technologies, a global leader in intelligent solutions for property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance, has announced the appointment of Hardeep Gulati as its new Chief Executive Officer. Gulati succeeds Michael Jackowski, who transitions to the role of Vice Chair of the Board of Directors to focus on strategic growth and business development initiatives.
With nearly three decades of technology leadership, Gulati brings extensive experience to Duck Creek. Most recently, he served as CEO of PowerSchool, where he scaled the company from a $100 million business into the largest provider of cloud-based software for K–12 education in North America. Under his leadership, PowerSchool expanded its workforce from 500 to over 3,000 employees and acquired several companies, including Schoology, PeopleAdmin, and Naviance.
At Duck Creek, Gulati will spearhead the company’s AI-first transformation, embedding agentic AI, generative AI, and machine learning across its insurance technology suite to drive agility, intelligence, and measurable business outcomes. He emphasized that the industry is demanding intelligent, AI-powered, autonomous agentic solutions, and Duck Creek is uniquely positioned to meet that demand.
Jackowski, who led Duck Creek for over a decade, will continue to guide the company’s growth and innovation strategy in his new role. Vista Equity Partners, which acquired Duck Creek in 2023, expressed confidence in both Gulati’s leadership and Jackowski’s continued involvement in the company’s strategic direction.
