Carol Voorhees has been officially named President and Chief Executive Officer of NJM Insurance Group, marking a historic milestone as the first woman and the tenth individual to lead the company since its founding in 1913. Her appointment was unanimously approved by the NJM Board of Directors at their meeting held on July 25, 2025.

Her promotion follows a distinguished 29-year career within the company, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Her rise from the IT department to CEO stands as a testament to her deep knowledge of NJM’s operations and her consistent leadership contributions.
A Journey of Impact and Innovation
Carol Voorhees joined NJM in 1996 and has steadily advanced through a variety of leadership roles. Early in her career, she was instrumental in launching NJM’s project management process and led transformative technology initiatives. In 2018, she was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where she joined the Executive Leadership Team and played a pivotal role in the company’s digital modernization efforts. In 2024, she was promoted to Executive Vice President and COO.
