XCMG showcased a new range of excavators designed specifically for the North American market at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, one of the world’s largest construction equipment exhibitions. Held from March 3 to March 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the event provided the stage for the company to introduce ten excavator models aimed at improving productivity and versatility on construction sites.
Complete Excavator Lineup Highlights Jobsite Versatility
During the exhibition, XCMG presented a comprehensive excavator lineup designed to handle a wide range of construction tasks, from landscaping and agricultural work to municipal projects.
Visitors at the show, including contractors and equipment specialists, evaluated the machines for real-world applications. Demonstrations highlighted how the equipment could quickly switch between attachments such as standard buckets, cleaning buckets, and mulching tools, demonstrating the machines’ flexibility for multi-purpose use.
The equipment’s compact design and compatibility with multiple attachments were particularly praised for improving maneuverability in tight jobsite environments.
Pro Series Models Make North American Debut
A major highlight of the showcase was the debut of two new models in the company’s Pro Series excavator lineup: the XE27U PRO and XE45U PRO.
The XE27U PRO features an upgraded powertrain and higher travel speeds, designed to deliver precise control and enhanced operator comfort while maintaining strong maneuverability in confined workspaces.
Meanwhile, the XE45U PRO offers high breakout force and rapid hydraulic response, supported by a reinforced and widened undercarriage that enhances stability, attachment compatibility, and backfilling efficiency.
The company reported that orders for both models were placed by North American dealers on the first day of the exhibition, signaling strong regional demand for equipment tailored to local operating conditions.
Intelligent Control System Enhances Construction Efficiency
XCMG also highlighted its next-generation ICS2.0 Intelligent Control System, which integrates AI-based algorithms to support precision operations such as automated trenching, grading, and controlled excavation.
Among the machines on display, the XE355UCR excavator featured several intelligent functions, including grading assistance, smart weighing, electronic geofencing, and rollover warning systems. These capabilities are designed to improve operational accuracy, safety, and efficiency on complex construction sites.
Expanding Presence in the North American Market
The launch reflects XCMG’s broader strategy to strengthen its position in the North American construction equipment sector. By focusing on machines developed for regional jobsite requirements, the company aims to provide contractors with equipment that improves productivity while reducing total operating costs.
As construction companies increasingly adopt advanced and intelligent equipment solutions, XCMG plans to continue working with dealers and global partners to expand its footprint in the region.
