GAC Highlights New-Energy Vehicles at Macao Auto Expo
GAC showcased its latest new-energy vehicle portfolio at the 16th China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition, which opened on October 30 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo. Under the theme “Where Craft Meets Technology,” the company presented several models, including the official Macao launch of the GAC ALL-NEW E8 and the regional debuts of the AION i60 and AION N60.
GAC also displayed the ALL-NEW M8, AION UT, AION V and GAC E9 PHEV, presenting a lineup that spans battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and extended-range powertrains, alongside sedans, SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles.
The exhibition marks GAC’s 16th consecutive participation in the Macao Auto Expo, making it the only Chinese automotive brand to have participated in every edition. The company reported that its sales in Macao increased 113% year-on-year in 2026.
ALL-NEW E8 Combines Electric Range and Family-Oriented Features
Designed for families in Macao and the Greater Bay Area, the GAC ALL-NEW E8 brings together electric driving capability, flexible cabin configurations and advanced driver-assistance features.
The vehicle offers a pure-electric range of 281 km and charge-sustaining fuel consumption as low as 3.98 litres per 100 km. Its CLTC combined range is stated at 1,537 km. The cabin provides approximately 56 square feet of space and supports 18 seating configurations, while a 540-degree panoramic surround-view camera system is among its key technology features.
In Macao, the MAX variant is priced at HKD 339,800, while the ULTRA variant is priced at HKD 369,800. GAC is also offering an early-bird discount of HKD 6,000.
Strengthening the Ownership and Service Experience
Alongside its vehicle portfolio, GAC highlighted its GAC CARE+ service approach, which is designed to support customers throughout vehicle selection, purchase, ownership and maintenance.
The company has an established showroom presence in Macao and offers its “Bay Area Link” service, enabling vehicle maintenance across the Greater Bay Area through its unified “One GAC” network. The GAC Owner APP also provides one-tap vehicle control, while additional service showrooms are planned.
GAC is further building brand engagement through international sports partnerships, including collaborations with Chelsea FC Men, Villarreal CF and Flamengo.
“Through this landmark partnership with OpenAI and G42, ADNOC is taking a major step towards connecting intelligence across our entire business, combining world-leading AI with decades of industrial expertise to make better decisions, unlock greater value and strengthen energy security,” said Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE minister of industry and advanced technology and ADNOC managing director and group CEO.
International Expansion Supports GAC’s Regional Growth
GAC’s latest Macao showcase comes amid reported growth across several international markets. Retail sales in the Asia-Pacific region increased 109% year-on-year during the first three quarters of 2026. In September, retail sales in Portugal grew 34% month-on-month, while Brazil recorded a 280% year-on-year increase.
The company views Macao as an important gateway to Portuguese-speaking markets and part of its broader international expansion strategy. It plans to continue strengthening its local presence, developing products and services for regional customers, and expanding collaboration across Portuguese-speaking and Asia-Pacific markets.
Through its latest vehicle launches and service initiatives, GAC is positioning its new-energy portfolio to address evolving mobility needs while strengthening its presence in regional automotive markets.
