The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) concluded its first phase from October 15–19, aligning with World Food Day (October 16) and the 80th anniversary of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This year’s event spotlighted innovation, efficiency, and sustainable development in agricultural technology, reflecting the global call for unity in advancing food security and sustainable farming.
Leading exhibitors presented groundbreaking machinery designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and adaptability across diverse agricultural terrains. A long-time Canton Fair participant unveiled electric and fuel-powered utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) engineered for challenging farm and mining environments. Prioritizing operator safety, the company integrates high protection standards throughout its design and engineering process while leveraging the fair as a platform for expansion into Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Another exhibitor from Shandong, known for its crop protection machinery, introduced lithium-powered lawn mowers, chainsaws, and a forest fire-fighting blower, addressing emerging agricultural safety challenges. With 70% in-house production and a new manufacturing facility in Thailand, the company is strengthening localized supply and service capabilities in Southeast Asia.
By fostering collaboration and showcasing transformative technologies, the Canton Fair continues to serve as a global hub for agricultural innovation, connecting industries, enabling partnerships, and supporting the FAO’s vision for a sustainable and resilient food future.
