Genesis Motor America and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation have reinforced their commitment to youth empowerment by supporting science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) initiatives in Southern Nevada. Through a $25,000 grant to Positively Arts and a hands-on educational workshop for middle school students, the organizations continue to expand access to creative and technical learning opportunities in under-resourced communities.
Strengthening Youth Arts and STEAM Programs
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to Positively Arts, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through the arts. Since 2014, Positively Arts has served more than 20,000 children and provided over $200,000 in scholarships to more than 10,000 low-income and at-risk youth in Southern Nevada.
The latest grant will enable the organization to expand its arts programming, offering more students structured mentorship, creative outlets, and life skills development. Foundation board members, Genesis Motor America employees, and Positively Arts representatives gathered in Las Vegas for a formal check presentation, underscoring the collaborative nature of the initiative.
Hands-On STEAM Learning Experience
In addition to the grant, Genesis Gives—Genesis Motor America’s corporate social responsibility initiative—organized a STEAM workshop in partnership with Child Creativity Lab at the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.
More than 40 middle school students participated in the immersive program, gaining insights into the automotive product development process and exploring a Genesis GV60 electric vehicle. Students translated imagination into innovation by designing their own future mobility vehicles using upcycled materials, blending engineering concepts with creative design thinking.
According to Brandon Ramirez, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Genesis Motor America and board member of the Genesis Inspiration Foundation, investing in STEAM programming helps encourage students to explore their creativity while building pathways toward future careers.
