Huawei Technologies hosted the 10th Huawei Connect Europe event in Madrid, bringing together global technical experts, industry leaders, and partners to explore how AI, 5G, and green technologies are shaping Europe’s dual digital and environmental transitions. Themed “All Intelligence, Greener Europe,” the event underscored Huawei’s commitment to technological innovation and sustainable growth across the continent.
Opening the conference, David Wang, Huawei’s Executive Director of the Board, highlighted how AI and intelligent technologies are transforming industries such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, and finance. He noted that by 2030, AI alone is expected to contribute US$22.3 trillion to the global economy, driving what he called a “faster-than-imagined intelligent world.”
Wang reaffirmed Huawei’s long-term dedication to Europe through its strategy “in Europe, for Europe.” Supported by R&D centers, innovation labs, and localized manufacturing, the company aims to empower European industries to achieve both digital excellence and environmental sustainability.
